Housing Choice Vouchers

The Housing Authority’s Voucher program assists low income families who wish to rent from a private landlord in the Shawnee area. The Housing Authority currently receives funding from HUD to assist 497 families. To be eligible for this program, household income cannot exceed income limits established by HUD for your household size. The family portion of the rent is based on the total household income and the amount of rent for the unit in which you are living. There is a waiting list for this program.
